It’s in the Bag

The carryall bag- it’s the bag we carry on a daily basis. These bags tote our daily essentials- wallet, cellphone, camera, planners, lipgloss, granola bar, gum, various toiletries- so it’s got to be supersized! This is one area where I do not mind splurging. Quality purses are investments that will last many, many years. I can hear you all now…”Keep telling yourself that..whatever makes you feel better, Lisa. “
This post is inspired by a reader email:
“Any good tips for finding a great work bag with lots of pockets but still really stylish?”
- First and foremost, it is a matter of personal style, so stick to what you like.
- Totes are really practical and come in many different styles. Think of special details like hardware, zippers, and different materials and textures (like patent leather or pebbled leather) to make it a unique part of your stylish signature look.
- Look for versatility- your dollars go a lot farther if you are also able to use it outside the office.
- Structured handbags are more appropriate for more formal business environments.
- And pockets are key to keep it all organized.
Here’s what I’ve come up with focusing on style and function:
