Fashionably LATE!

October 20th, 2010 § 4 Comments

Hi All..This is not the first time I am writing about my absence from the blogosphere! I have been busy taking care of the new addition to our family- this little peanut we call Miles. I could not have anticipated or prepared myself for all the demands of pregnancy and now motherhood. It has turned the carefree lifestyle I use to know upside down!! But nonetheless, I have totally fallen in LOVE.

Meet Miles Jason Scott, 2 months:

I promise to start posting more frequently!! And today, I am kicking it off with a small post with maximum inspiration. I love browsing lookbooks in catalogs, magazines, and online stores for inspiration. I recently decided that I will be making lace-up boots part of my fall uniform (I ordered a pair online today from Nordstrom!).

And now for some inspiration…drumroll please….

Things to look forward to on the Fashionlogue-
1. More fall/winter fashion posts
2. A post on all I have learned about Maternity Fashion for all my pregnant friends out there. It was hard finding fashionable things to wear, but I promise to tell you all I’ve learned.
3.  With the arrival of the new baby, I will start posting about baby fashion I love and baby gear that I’ve tested and can not live without.

In an “Empire State of Mind”

May 28th, 2010 § 1 Comment

Hey Dear Readers! I have been MIA with the posts/updates lately. Forgive me! There is a ton of HOT fashion to cover, and I will be back on it next week……BUT for now, I am in an “Empire State of Mind”. I am heading to NYC to spend the long weekend with the best friends a girl could have! This is the last girls weekend before baby Myles, Maxwell, Mitch, Taj, Jason Scott (have not decided on a name yet!) arrives.

And on another but equally as important note….She is beautiful, loyal, intelligent, genuine, funny, sometimes a bit feisty :-) , and was there 11 years ago on the night I met my husband for the first time- HAPPY BIRTHDAY “V”!!! Can’t wait to see you!

effortlessly cool messenger bags

April 5th, 2010 § 1 Comment

One of my favorite things to do is online window shopping. I can, literally, spend hours on the internet looking at clothes, lookbooks, shoes, architecture, design, photography…you name it.

The other day, I received a new catalog in the mail for a men’s store called carbon2cobalt. I’m always looking for gift ideas for the men in my life- husband, dad, brother, and friends. I look for effortlessly cool, unique stylish items that they probably would not to think to purchase themselves but once received, they can’t live without. I make sure to bookmark all the goodies I encounter so I can revisit for the next special occasion gift or for that “just because” gift.

When I ran across the carbon2cobalt messenger bags, I had to share. They exude a vintage vibe that is effortlessly cool and would be perfect for travel or for everyday use. The best part is that they are real leather and moderately priced. I can not speak to the quality as I have only viewed in the catalog and online.

Messenger bag, $98

Vintage Flight Bag, $149

Overlander bag, $199

one dress, 3 ways

March 29th, 2010 § 3 Comments

I’ve said it before- Lucky Magazine is one of my favorite magazines for inspiration for everyday, wearable outfits. I LOVE it!

Check out this dress they styled 3 very different ways. I like all of them, but I think my favorite is the middle. Which one do you fancy?

Spring Outfit Inspiration – The Updated Cargo

March 17th, 2010 § 2 Comments

Today’s outfit inspiration comes from the March 2010 J.Crew catalog.
The cargo pant is updated for Spring with a slimmer cut. It’s a little rough, a little urban, and a lot sexy.

I love the way it is styled as well. The ruffle wrap blouse and statement necklace adds a romantic, girly touch to the ensemble. Last but certainly not least, the suede platform peep toes in the nudish-pinkish color are the perfect finish to the outfit.

 The details:
The outfit can be purchased here.
BLAKELY WRAP BLOUSE, $98
RIPSTOP CARGO PANT, $79.50
ALICIA SUEDE PLATFORM PEEP TOES, $265
The model, Molly, who is also a designer for j.crew handmade the necklace

I thought that it was super cool that the March catalog featured real women who inspire with their creativity and style.
