etsy love – search for the perfect pillow
September 28th, 2011 § 1 Comment
I have been on the search for something very specific….the perfect addition to my leather sectional couch….the exclamation point, if you will – a pillow with 5 special letters – F-A-M-I-L-Y. I envision the pillow right in the middle of the couch. The mental picture gives me that warm fuzzy feeling
My search started on etsy, of course! I entered “family pillow” in the search bar and after browsing page after page, my eye caught a vintage style pillow on seller samantha2818 shop.
Check it out…..
{familia pillow – simple…perfect…powerful…love it}
I also love this pillow:
{because “love is all you need”, right?}

Design – Modern Home Tour
June 2nd, 2011 § 1 Comment
This is my first of hopefully many posts on design. I am drawn to simplicity of modern design. Design blogs and magazines, such as Dwell, inspire many of the design choices in my own home. As we recently moved into a new apartment and will soon be hosting out-of-town guests, my mind is has quickly switched from planning into execute mode to get the new apartment in presentable order. One of my weaknesses is spending too much time in the planning/researching stage. I get lost in home tours! This sometimes proves to be paralyzing for indecisive minds like myself.
My plan is to work with what we currently have, add a few modern touches and pops of color throughout with furniture, artwork, and accessories and attempt to keep it pretty minimal at the same time. In addition to updating our living spaces, I am working on a special project – my son’s nursery. He finally got his own room when we moved from a 1BD to 2BD. I hope to share inspiration, progress, and the final product with you all soon, but in the meantime, I leave you with some eye candy. Let your mind wander! Hope it inspires you, like it did me, to tackle that home project you’ve put off for….like…ever…….
